I remember getting Patriots Day off when I lived in Mass. < grin >

I would ask her politely why she wasn't available today - and if she said it was a 'paid holiday' I'd show her your contract and ask her (politely of course again) to show you where it says so.

I bet she simply left it out of her list of holidays by mistake, since it is a Federal Holiday - but a contract is a contract and both of you have to follow it. Ask for a free day at your mutual convenience or ask to have one day taken off your bill.

And get ALL the other holidays confirmed in advance!

I did get a chuckle about her taking Passover, Yom Kippur and Christmas! Sounds like my kids with a Jewish Dad and a WASP Mom - the best of both worlds.
