You can tackle this problem in 3 ways.

1. In the data environment of the report,
select the particular table and use the filter option and set the filter condition

2. In the data environment, use the "init" method to filter the record

3. you can give the command "report form myreport preview for criteria=mycriteria. In this option, you can dynamically get the parameter and pass it.
