I'm fairly used to using ODBC & Connections in a database for in-house applications, but I've been thinking on how to use ODBC for external customers.

As yet, I've not used SQLSTRINGCONNECT() or SQLCONNECT, but I gave them a go & I'm not having much luck with SQLSTRINGCONNECT(). I've created a File DSN, but I'm never able to connect to it. I can get it working however, when I create a Connection in the database & manually select the File DSN.

My question is, how to I programatically create Connections in Visual FoxPro with File DSN to allow me to use non Visual FoxPro data?
