If it is a 3C59x you are golden. That line of card is very well supported in Linux.

The only thing that needs to be within 1024 is /boot, and it only needs to be about 50 MB (25 MB would probably do).
Here's what I would do:
50 MB ext2 - /boot
3 GB NTFS - Win2k (OS and Applications)
2 GB ext2 - /home
3 GB ext2 - /usr
1 GB ext2 - /var
1 GB ext2 - /
127 MB swap - swap
127 MB swap - swap
Fat32x - shared stuff
Of course, you will need to adjust this for your hard drive size, etc.
