I got it! ODBC did not like:

SQLEXEC(lnHandle, "INSERT INTO QS36F.GLACNT02 (glacnt, gldesc) ;
VALUES(glacnt, gldesc)")

The following works:

SQLEXEC(lnHandle, "INSERT INTO QS36F.GLACNT02 (GLACNT, GLDESC) ;
VALUES(?GLACNT, ?GLDESC)")
