Hi - apparently, according to the SQL help below ...
Important Setting the TruncateLogOnCheckpoint property to True implies that backup-maintained database integrity relies on backup of the database only. When True, you cannot backup a database transaction log and backup strategies based on incremental backup of the log are not available.... having the Truncate Log on Checkpoint option selected in effect, makes transaction log back-ups useless. Is this true, and if so, What advantage or reason would one have to set this option on?
