Doru,

My understanding is that the replacement of biblical Sabbath with the "Christian Sabbath" on Sunday, happened for political and economical reasons; it was a process that lasted hundreds of years, and I know too little to debate the source arguments (Old / New Testament, paganism, ??), so I’ll leave it here…

Actually, the reasons had more to do with the notion that Sunday was the day Jesus rose from the dead. New life and all that. That plus there was a 'fight' in the early chursh as to whether or not the Gentiles, after becoming Christians, needed to follow the Jewish interpretation of their Law. You can read about this in the book of Acts where the first 'council' was held. Keeping the Sabbath was considered unimportant in the sense that it created spirituality though taking at least one day off a week is most certainly scriptural.

What most folks miss is that God doesn't want man to work himself to death but to enjoy life. <g>

The Sabbath is in the sense that we are discussing it an entirely Jewish Olt Testament Law issue. Christianity completely dispenses with the requirement that folks must keep a specific day set apart in ordser to be 'spiritual'.
Best,
