That's what I was getting, too. Then I found a KB article that describes all the problems and possible solutions. Every time you fix one, you get the next error message, and sure enough, it's the next item in the list in that article. :) Once you installed DCOM, changed a few registry entries, rebooted your system a couple of times, found a way to register the objects, ensured that the proper authentification level is selected, set up security on the Windows 98 system they way it's required, made sure that the application is launched before you try to create objects, found that you have to use the "/automation" command line switch with your application and figured out that single-use objects are a bad idea with DCOM 98, well, then you can actually use it. *bg*
