If I have a multiuser workstation application, with native VFP data on an NT server. I access the files using drive mapping. This has proven to be very distructive to my files and database due to lock ups. What are the pros and cons of accessing the data using remote access to the VFP files using VFP ODBC for access. Is the performance comparable and does this offer more reliable data storage? What do I give up with this approach?

Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated.

Gary Pike.
