Will:

Is your form created with CreatedObject or does your form contains an
instance of a business object class that includes your grid?

If yes,
I seriously doubt you can make the column object reference disappears
because it is a member of a class. The same principle applies to all
controls removed at runtime. Always verify whether an object is a
member of the appropriate controls/columns/buttons collection to
determined if it was removed at runtime!
