Thanks very much for responding. You're right; my approach is from the days of foundation reads. I changed to include only the first read events but am still having problems.

In the prg's that I call from my menu, I have a "do form" and then code following. The programs execute the "do form" and then keep on going and execute the rest of the code.

How should I change my approach? I am still using the original form from the beginning of the called prg to display progress bars and messages so I don't want to release it when the user clicks on a button.
