Visual Studio 6 SP5 requires that the NT worktation have NT4.0 SP5 or better installed. I believe the current service pack status is 6a as of this writing.. Visual Studio 6 SP5 also requires the prior installation of the MDAC_type upgrade 2.5 or later as well. Both of these upgrades must be installed before VS6SP5 install is attempted or it will not install sucessfully.
