I have SP6 of NT installed, I also have MDAC 2.5 installed. The error message states incorrectly that there is no Visual Studio Applications found! I'm trying to understand why it thinks there are no VS6 applications installed when I can run them all. I had just done SP4 about a month ago. This is a new built NT 4.0 workstation that I was setting up to be my developemnt machine. All my apps run fine, I can re-compile/build and all that works great. This SP5 issue has me stumped.

Thank you

Scott

>>Has anyone else seen this? I can run all the Visual Studio 6 applications just fine. I figure it must be some kind of registry problem.

>Visual Studio 6 SP5 requires that the NT worktation have NT4.0 SP5 or better installed. I believe the current service pack status is 6a as of this writing.. Visual Studio 6 SP5 also requires the prior installation of the MDAC_type upgrade 2.5 or later as well. Both of these upgrades must be installed before VS6SP5 install is attempted or it will not install sucessfully.
