I have a need to display data from my access database on my web site. It is a simple display were everone will be listed as a hyperlink on one page, and when you click on that person you will see detail just on that person. Not a difficult application. I just do not know which tools are available. I have a very bare bones web host and do not want to upgrade. I know that there are programs that will create static web pages from the database and while the data is not very active and the volumne is not so great, i would like something that reads the datbase and creates the web page on the fly.

Does most, or all, the software to display data from databases require some server side software? I realize that Frontpage extensions would allow this, but would prefer to stay away from that ... do i sound like a snob? I am not above using any kind of shareware program.

I am a programmer by trade and am decent with HTML and good with SQL.

Appreciate any ideas or info
