I put an image control on the form, and placed a transparent shape with no border over part of the picture. Then I ran Obj2BMP and captured the shape control into BMP file. Naturally, there was exactly that part of picture in the BMP. So, with proper positioning and resizing code for the shape and Obj2BMP utility you can capture parts of the picture to BMP.

That's one thing you can do. I've been playing around with an idea utilizing the BMPMaker code in conjunction with a form to create bitmaps that can be used by the Picture Clip control (so that it can be used as a source for an ImageList). Kind of the reverse of this.< s >
