I use php & mysql too. Great fun.

But for other jobs I use good old foxpro - ie creating xml files of all my files for an internal search engine. That way I can have a table of exclusions etc. The file is generated and then uploaded onto my system.

I have also used VBA in Microsoft Excel to generate a page of links. The links are maintained in the spreadsheet - easy for the user.

You have so many options, it should be fun! An xml file of data which php parses onto the server so you only have to update the xml when things change.

or use a program to spit out all the small html pages into a subdirectory (which is cleaned first) and then the lot can be uploaded. the program takes control of the naming convention.
