Have you upgraded any other MS development products, like VB / C++ on the development machine ? I did, and the mscomm.ocx was upgraded. The new control had additonal properties, and I had to add the new object to the form, and move the code. Attempting to reinstall the old .ocx did not help, because the ocx file date was older, and did not regress the file. Also, other developers had to upgrade the .ocx on their machines.
