>>In the available KB articles, it clearly states that drives formatted with FAT32 won't be visible to any other OS, including DOS6.2x, Win3.x, etc. Why couldn't they have put this on the SCREEN to read before you start FDisk. The shop who installed it KNEW about my dual-boot, they helped me plan it last year, but they didn't know about these problems.

>Don't you think this is more the problem of those who did the installation than MS?
Vlad, although the installer should have known the problems and asked me, I think that MS should have given more information on the screen where the installer decides which version to use. Their information makes it look like you should ALWAYS use FAT32 if you have a disk larger than 2GB.
>In my opinion, they should know this. If they didn't, they should have try before on a test machine and see that their solution doesn't work. BTW, it's normal that a new file system is not seen by any other previous version of OS. It's the same for NT file system.

That's for sure. Half my stuff didn't work.

http://sysdoc.pair.com/>for more info about FAT32, as well for almost any hardware concern. I found it extremly usefull several times. The info seems to be remarkably acurate and extensive.

Thanks for the added info, Vlad. I was working with what I could find on the KB, and it was tough sledding for a while.
