>First, is the file missing? If so you can restore from a backup (be sure the DBF is restored too so they match). If it on the disk then it is corrupt and you can fix it with one of the utilities available. Do a search on "Fix" and look for FixFox and FPTFix. There is another tool dSalvage which you can buy - check the Hallogram site.

I might suggest the recover tool from abri. Its on their website (a demo) and it works well. It will even fix stuff where the records get hooked up wrong if you use their routine to prevent corruption. But even if you don't, it will still fix header and even other problems that nothing else seems to fix.
