>Huh? What does VFP lack for creating COM objects? I create them just fine, and they can take a hell of a pounding, judging from my testing. (Come to Orlando to see the numbers. I was impressed.)

I just wish it was in my employers budget for me to make that trip, seems like there is a huge hole in my skills then. I have spent a number of off-time hours in an attempt to create a web enabled application that will still have the look and feel of a desktop app, and frankly have failed miserably. Since I do not personally own the third party apps, it has been a frustrating experience for me. The browser presentations I have obtained, I would not even waste the space on a backup tape, much less try to distribute. The furnished foundation classes do a horrendous and very ugly HTML rendition of a form, that is the results I have gotten When I added ColdFusion, I was able to do what I wanted to do, and am only lamenting my inability to do all of it within VFP. I really envy your ability to do them "just fine." I don't have a problem with desktop or distributed VFP apps, and in fact was a finalist in the Winter Corp's contest in very large scale database apps with a pure VFP application. Didn't win the finals, but it was an accomplishment to place and be the only VFP entry.
