Well, you're not missing much. At best, I think I'll get a slide and a few minutes to explain what I'm testing. But what is your problem with doing COM dev work via Fox? Seriously, I've got all kinds of objects that take a bazillion hits via ASP over the course of a few days, and they all run fine. I really want to know what VFP is lacking for your purposes in COM development. Details, I need details. :-)

> I have spent a number of off-time hours in an attempt to create a web enabled application that will still have the look and feel of a desktop app, and frankly have failed miserably.

First, HTML-based apps are going to have a hard time competing with thick client apps, though they can come close. But have you looked at the FoxISAPI app in (off the top of my head) home(2)+'servers\foxisapi\foxis'? Go to that directory, build foxis.pjx, and do STRFILE(CREATE("FOXIS.EMPLOYEE"), 'myfoxis.htm'), then open the resulting file in IE. I dunno, looks pretty much like a Fox form to me. Graphics are a bit poor, but that's easily fixed.

> The furnished foundation classes do a horrendous and very ugly HTML rendition of a form, that is the results I have gotten

Haven't looked at those, but you've got the source, it should be easy to fix.

> I really envy your ability to do them "just fine."

Well, there is the off chance that I might know that area of the product a little better than you do. ;-) I'll admit, it takes some digging and some time, but you can crank out some pretty decent web apps with VFP alone.

> I don't have a problem with desktop or distributed VFP apps,

Yeah, neither do a lot of people. But there's that danged learning curve to get your apps to the web. :-) Seriously, you either buy West Wind Connections or you spend a weekend diddling with the FoxISAPI samples.

> Didn't win the finals, but it was an accomplishment to place and be the only VFP entry.

Schweet, glad to here that a VFP did so well.
