You must have been Air Force. In '68 the Marines still had .45 ACPs, which as a radioman was my TE weapon. They were a piece or work. I qual'ed "expert" with the weapon in training. In March, '68 at the Sandbox near DaNang, I fired 6 aimed rounds at a running VC from a stable firing position -- I think I scared him a little. After than I adopted the CAR-15 as my personal weapon.
