I guess they need some way of using up the gazillion rounds of .45 ACP in warehouses.
I've shot the HK. It is very heavy -- not much recoil compared to the ACP, so it's faster to bring the muzzle back on target after each round. It gets very unhappy around dust or sand, though. Not good for a field weapon, imho. I cannot imagine it as an infantry weapon. If you are going to carry that weight, why not an Uzzi.
