I guess with a name like EAST Rockaway I should have assumed it would be even farther east than Rockaway. Wow! I had it backwards in my mind. I should look at a map of LI.

Funny you should mention Malibu. I lived in Canoga Park and Long Beach between the ages of 4 and 7. My dad used to take us to Malibu Beach when we lived in Canoga Park. We cut through a canyon to get there. I think it was called Topanga Canyon, but I am not sure if I have the right canyon.

I am a life-long LA Dodger fan and have my entire office decorated in LA Dodger memorablilia with autographed photos of most of the 1963 World Series players and some 1988 World Series stuff. I even have a Tommy Lasorda jersey hanging in my closet with his name on it.

I still have relative out there, but have not been back in since 1965 during the Watts riots which closed the freeway so I couldn't get to the Dodgers game. But someday I hope to have time to drive over to Vero Beach and catch a Dodger Spring Training game. I wish Devil Rays were in the NL. I hate the AL. At least then I could catch a Dodger game once in a while.
