I have had luch using the view designer to modify simple views after I create them programmatically, but a complex view should not be opened in the view designer after you add it. Edit the code in the program, remove the existing view, then add back the edited view programmatically.

I know it is a pain and I hope that VFP7 gets us some help on this issue, but I have not heard. If it is not there, then I can tell you MS will hear from me on this issue at San Diego.
