>Thanks, Craig. I read your article, Randy Brown's and several others on MTS last night. It seemed like MTS could be a big piece of this puzzle until I searched the Microsoft site and could find no mention of MTS or the NT 4 Option Pack. Does anyone know if this is still available, and if so, where? I probably should have mentioned that the COM server was created in VFP 6 -- if that matters. We're probably the last folks on the planet without access to VFP 7.

VFP7 is not released yet, so don't worry about it. Just make sure you are using the latest service pack for VFP (SP5). If you have Visual Studio, the Option Pack is on one of the disks. Apply the Option Pack, then the latest NT Service Pack (6a).

In addition to the cost of hardware and software upgrades, there would probably be licensing issues to access the machine from the Internet. It could make a small project too costly -- unless I can amortize the costs over future enhancements.

Win2K is more stable and will require fewer reboots than NT. I'm not sure what the licensing requirements are in this case. I much prefer Win2K over NT.
