I have many friends who play bass. We kid them about "how they think musically". Do you think along a melodic line, bass or rhythm? What do you think of as you are walking, sitting or just thinking musically speaking? The ribbing goes on but without the bass player many musicians would be lost!

I have lots of funny stories about my friends who play bass - some play double bass. One friend plays at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, and takes his double bass on a city bus from the other end of town, to his gig. What a sight!!! All musicians are fun to be around, the kind of fun is another question.
