I visited briefly the varloop site but since I am not a var (I am a full-time programmer in the employ of an end-user), I may not be able to get access to it. I put in a call to our var to see if they would be willing to sponsor me.

In the mean time, I will pose to you a couple basic questions.

1. I want to add some fields to some of the native AccPac tables and then modify some of the form classes to edit these new fields. Should I add records for my new fields to the AccPac Data Dictionary tables? What will happen to these new fields (and the data in them) when we upgrade to a newer version?

2. I have the Technical Reference manual for the SBT Pro Series 6.0 and it provides a lot of information but there seems to be a lots of gaps as well. It says for example not to add classes to the SYC libraries but it is ok to add to the SBT libraries. I am really more interested in the module classes such as the Purchase Order class libraries. The manual says nothing that I could find about working with them. I would be interested in knowing what approach you take. Do you subclass the existing module classes or make copies to modify? Again, what about upgrades? Any tips or suggestions or gotchas that you are aware of would be greatly appreciated.
