>Since I lived on a sailboat, and travelled around the Pacific for 7 years, I missed sooooo many movies!

I am so envious. The longest I've travelled is about 6 months.

> When I moved here and bought my first VCR, and knew no one, I was watching 5-6 videos a week, to "catch up." Now, it's hard to find a good video, except for the new ones.

I bought my first TV in 1995, never had a VCR until Kimberly moved in, in about 1997.

>Is that the followup to Mummy?

It is the one with Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft spawned from the Tomb Raider video game. The Mummy followup wasn't as good as the original.

> I wish Brendan Fraser would get some better roles....did you see Gods and Monsters? one of my favorite films of all time. I think I've seen it ....ummm....eight times?

Excellent film! I rarely have the motivation to see a movie more than once, but there are some exceptions. Trainspotting. Pulp Fiction. Casablanca. Key Largo. Maltese Falcon. I'd like to see Momento again as well as one with the kid that sees ghosts.

>So your wife/girlfriend was more of a movie buff than you? do you enjoy the same kinds of films?

My wife (still getting used to that) and mostly the same movies. Perhaps predictably she gives a little more slack to marginal romantic films while I'll do the same for action films.
