Actually, Gartner has made no mention of VFP publicly for quite some time so I don't think it is on their death list (or any list for that matter).
Also, before you diminish Robert Green's efforts keep in mind that he may not be the one who is ultimately making marketing decisions at MS. Also, in case you haven't noticed, Mr. Green is not the VFP Product Marketing Manager, he is the Visual Studio Marketing Manager so I'd say he's got a lot on his plate! If he is still the Visual Studio Marketing Manager than VFP 7 and going forward does not fall under his responsibilities.
