That's true. We didn't try to alter this message for our queries, so we just use set talk on without using window. When running queries with join on multiple tables we have to wait several seconds (quite noticable delay) before this thermometer appears. Unfortunately, we can not control it. We can stop query execution by hitting ESC only if this thermometer appears.
BTW, I didn't read this article in FoxPro Advisor. Do you have a link available or can just briefly give the idea of suppressing such output?
