Houston, you are correct. George is just restating what you said. He is incorrect in saying that your statement is wrong. He is either overlooking or misunderstanding your term "string translations." In C, the preprocessor directive "#define" is often called a "macro." This terminology is confusing for VFP because it has runtime macros -- &. VFP programmers should think of #define as a pre compile macro.
