yeah, but thats not the problem. The memo field is fine in the visual foxpro report but when i open the report created by using

report form "report.frx" to FILENAME ASCII

ie open FILENAME in say Wordpad then the memo field shown here only shows the first line ( due to there being no carriage returns ).

Hope this makes more sense.
