John, I hope I didn't offend you by asking the question...

But not every software piece released by every software provider is worth buying or upgrading to. Since VFP6 works so well I was just wondering if version 7 is gonna be great as well.

I wish I had more time to read the UT so that I could be more up to date, but perhaps I just asked a dead stupid question?

You know, I was one of those guys who blindly upgraded to PCTools 6 (was that the version that exploded, I can't recall the #) Just a small program, I know, but good grief, what a disaster that was. I also upgraded to DBaseIV right out of the gate (as Ashton-Tate was going into the tank) ... another mistake.

.. just trying to make the most of the UT and this community of gurus which
I consider to be so much further ahead of me!

>>As one of the techno-peasants who has to wait for VFP7 to hit the retail market (in Canada - no less, eh?) I was wondering if any of the lucky bunch who already have it could tell us if it is pretty solid?

>>Incidentally, the place I buy software from way up here said not for release until July 6th ... so not likely that I'll see the product in Canada maybe till mid July, eh?

>>Any comments on any of the above?

>>Thx, Scott :-D
