I agree. C++/VC++ will continue to evolve and be the premier language for the future regardless of the application. The XML's, Java, and VFP are okay in limited usage. Let's remember what language got us where we are at, it wasn't Java, XML, VFP etc... I would like to see a built-in proprietary database engine for C++/VC++. VFP is written in C/C++. Instead of these one day wonder code writers thinking up new and improved laguages, improve on the best on we have going C++/VC++. Not to mention the benefits of standardization and cross platform programming if everyone uses the same tools instead of a collection of toys written for a 10% market group of programmers. Plus I get tired of having to stay up on different technology that after 3-6 months of playing around I find out doesn't work for me.
