>>A few weeks ago I could fine many related web pages concerning real numbers (cost) of electricity generated by Texas and sold to California. Can't find them now - reminds me of finding an article on Microsoft.com and a week later it is gone.

>I realize that many of the power gens have headquarters in Houston...I was merely making a distinction that the power itself was not *produced* in Texas. Another point (which I made elsewhere) is that Gov. Davis has not demonized Calpine (based in your backyard) to the extent he has the Texas based companies.

Steve;

When all is said and done, we will know less then we do now! All that I have to do is listen and watch the media. That makes me an "expert" on something but I am not sure what. The media cannot tell me what the weather is doing right now but it can predict the weather for the next five days anywhere in the world.

Who ever has the best lawyers and has paid politicians the most will win this one. Now if I could just convince a few million of these "flat land foreigners" to move back to whatever state they came from, maybe some of our states problems would go with them. Guess I am getting nasty in my old age.

I am a fourth generation San Franciscan, and said at a party one time: “Eeveryone less than fourth generation should leave the state”! The guy sitting next to me said: “I’m fifth generation”! Then I knew I was in trouble!

I made a prediction 21 years ago – if you put solar panels on your house PG&E (our utility) would put a meter on it and charge you for the suns energy, the PUC would regulate it and the government would tax it.

This is turning into an interesting Summer – and it just began!
