I agree. Both are valid. I think the important point is that you should pick one way and always use it unless/until you find a better way. I have some other things along the same line. For example, my current project has lots of code that was written by a well known VFP consulting group. All the comments start with *--. Personnally, I see no reason to use the --. It doesn't make it any more of a comment. It doesn't stand out differently because all the comments are that way. IMO, why use *-- when * will do?
