Have done some more research on this C0000005 problem and found a MicroBiz recommendation to use the MS DCOM98.EXE to update some of the Win98 DLL's in order to fix this same error encountered while running their VFP6 program. Can anyone shed any light on this, is it an appropriate option, should it work? The versions of the affected DLL's (found in the MS website) do appear to be newer than my Win98 DLL's. Since my problem only occurs reletively rarely it's not crucial to try this fix if it's risky. What are the risks to running the DCOM98 self-extracting file, if any?
