Yawn. Tried this AM, all fog and mist, 45 degrees to boot. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow...

>>Monsoon season over there?
>Well, "Typhoon season" is what they call it here...there seems to be lots of activity lately...at this time of the year, the systems mostly build up around here and become Typhoons as they move west and north...later in the season (Nov., Dec.) is the more likely time for us to be hit w/a big one (that builds up south and east of there).

I stand corrected. I lived in the Philippines for a number of years and got used to a lot of 'weather' during 'monsoon' season. We didn't have to suffer many of them typhoons, just a lot of rain.

>I hope for another "quiet" year...we've been lucky for a few years now...and the island is nice and lush, w/out that enforced (Typhoon) pruning.

Heh heh.

>Where is Cincinnatus? I grew up in Buffalo, and lived in Albany for high school years.

Well, you were all around me so to speak.

See if you can paste that into a browser. Short version, about 40 miles SSE of Syracuse as the crow flies.
