>It would depend on how quickly the data was sent, at 9600 baud it's around 1ms per character. If the default baud rate is higher, then it proprtionately quicker.

Having said that, a lot of modern modems will match their baud rate automatically.

Well, putting a messagebox after each line sent to the modem works. I'll do that.
