In my experience, the odbc driver for Mysql, will by default only send over to a vfp cursor, the field length of the largest field So if in your field, you have a char(50) field, and the largest alltrim(field) is only 20 you will get back a cursor with only char(20) in a vfp cursor.
are you using the odbc dsn in the control panel, or are you using a connection string ?

ps.. yahoo membership to the mysqlvfp group is open, if you have been validated within yahoo, you should have no problem with the group.

In the beginning, there was a command prompt, and all was well.
