>Do "his CDs contain CD Text information " mean that there is a txt file with this information? If so, you can use filetostr()/strtofile() functions.
No, its a recent CD standard (along with Red Book etc) - I believe the information is written into the lead-in information of a standard audio cd. The lead-in info is ignored by most CD players, so it means that CD-Text Audio CD's are compatible with ordinary CD players, but with CD-Text enabled players they can display the title, artist & track title etc.
Some CD writing s/w (Nero 5 & Easy CD 4+) support the facility & allow the information to be written on writing (burning) a new CD & read it back (as long as the CD device supports it). I had an idea that Windows Media Player can read/display the info (somebody told me they'd played a CD & miraculously all the track info was displayed), but unfortunately I haven't got any CDs contain CD-Text, so I can't confirm that one.
To Irene, sorry, I know no more than that.
