Visual FoxPro cleans up its temp files automatically. As stated in other replies, if your application crashes, the temp files stay there (e.g., in c:\windows\temp). Since this happens every now and then, you have to periodically clean this up. Delete any files which are not from today.
Once I created a batch file to erase all files in c:\windows\temp automatically on startup. The result was catastrophical, since this is the default location of Word autosave files! It took me a long time to figure out what was wrong.
