Nancy;

I also have a similar problem! Many times my hopes and dreams come true. Perhaps because I pray a lot and try to help others and myself.

This morning when I woke up (around 4 am – I start work early), I had a strange thought. With time the acceptance of attitudes and practices changes – for the most part this is an improvement. The example I thought of concerns child abuse. Until 1895 in this country is was not a crime for a parent to kill his/her child. The first city in the nation to make this a crime was New York. How different we think today. Unfortunately, no law prevents any crime. Perhaps not a good thought to start my day.

Yesterday was my wife’s birthday. The programmer who sits in the cubical next to me took yesterday off. He just told me yesterday was his wife’s birthday. Now I feel bad – I only took off a half day – but we gave my wife a great party!
