Okay, I had VFP 5.0a installed on my PC; we in "user land" aren't allowed to do this ourselves, someone from central computing must do it. I have 3.0 in one directory (C:\Program Files\vfp), 5.0 in another (C:\Program Files\DevStudio\vfp), I can still work in 3.0 with no problems.

However, when I startup 5.0, I get an error message with the following text: "Error initializing Application object". Selecting the help button labels this as error 1574, stating the Automation server or type library is not registered correctly, the registry file is corrupted, remove the registry entry. What entry? Since I must get central computing to fix this (control), I need to tell them exactly what to do (strange, isn't it?, I tell them). I know they did not install the upsizing wizards, could this be the problem?
