According to our Networking guy the Internet Information Server is a part of Windows 2000 Server. The Windows 2000 Professional comes with Internet Information Services wich are a limited version of Internet Information Server.
You should be able to find it under Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Windows Updates.
>I have an IBM ThinkPad with Windows 2000 Professional pre-installed. When you buy a new computer with an OEM version of WIN2K pre-loaded, it doesn't come with a CD-ROM. The operating system files are copied to your hard drive in .CAB files in a folder called I386. I want to install Internet Information Server and it doesn't seem to be on my machine.

>I called Microsoft and they absolutely won't talk to you if you have an OEM version of Windows. They say you have to get support from IBM and IBM doesn't have a clue about Windows. The tech support rep put me on hold about four times before he finally came back and said that IIS isn't included in the pre-load and that I should call Microsoft.
