>Heellloooo out there. We are releasing our app next week and have found a problem with the ctreeview control being installed on Win2k. I develop on win98 and my sidekick developes on win2k. We do this to catch operating system problems. Everything works fine on our machines, but when we install to our test box with win2k (with or with service pack 2) we get the message "2C247F23-8591-11D1-B16A-00C0F0283628 is not properly registered on this machine" when trying to open a form with a ctreeview control. Now I realize this is a registration problem with the comctl32.ocx. I have unregistered it and copied my comctrl.ocx to the system32 and registered it with regsvr32, but I can't seem to get the right combination. Anyone run into this yet? I read one thread that said this was a known problem and that I should copy my file to it and then register it, but I can't get this to work.

Randy,

You might want to go to the Stonefield website, www.stonefield.com and click on Technical Papers. Look for the topic "Using Visual Foxpro Active X Controls". Doug Hennig has tackled the problem of different versions of the same active x controls very nicely.

Kind Regards,
