Thanks Matthew. I had read that paper before but went back and read it again.
We are using the ctreeview control in MM that adds the treeview and imaglist dynamically at runtime and it works fine on WIN98 and Millenium. It even works fine on a developers machine running Win2000. But when we load up 2000 on our test machine, we can't seem to get it to work.
Both the CLSID's are in the registry of our test machine, but we still get "OLE error 0X-80040154 class is not registered".
I also just noticed that the treeview control is in both the comctl32.ocx and the mscomctl.ocx. Do you know which one MM 6.0 is looking for?
Thanks again for your suggestion.

www.stonefield.com and click on Technical Papers. Look for the topic "Using Visual Foxpro Active X Controls". Doug Hennig has tackled the problem of different versions of the same active x controls very nicely.
