No one else uses sourcesafe and it was quick enough before the move. (The network is 100 BaseT using a switch). No other network issues.

We experience the same thing and have learned to live with it. We have dozens of developers and hundreds of projects under VSS on a pretty fast Network and nobody has come up with a solution to make the VFP project manager open faster.
