Is there some way I can speed this up? My machine is a Win98SE P3 800 (256 MB RAM) and the server is a Win2000K P2 450 (256 MB RAM). No one else uses sourcesafe and it was quick enough before the move. (The network is 100 BaseT using a switch). No other network issues.

Just went through this last week. I don't know if my 'fix' will satisfy you as your circumstances may be different but perhaps it'll get you thinking along a different track. I turned off Norton's Anti-virus Auto-protect function whenever I open the vfp project and the speed's normal. I'm thinking that the slowdown was because every file is checked by Norton.
IOW, is anything like an anti-virus program perhaps interfering here?
